INFORMATION ABOUT THE PRINTING PROCESS
We print on textiles and paper by screen printing. Thus the prints on textiles are washable up to 40 degrees and long lasting. We can print designs with up to six colours. Since we mix according to the Pantone-C system ourselves, we can individually respond to colour requests. Special inks such as silver and gold are also possible.
DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM ORDER QUANTITY? ARE THERE PRICE BREAKS?
The minimum order quantity for 1-2 print colours is 20 pieces.Starting from a 3 colour print the quantity is 50 pieces.
Our price breaks are 20, 50, 100, 250, 500 etc. As soon as these quantities are reached, the unit prices per textile become cheaper.
WHICH TEXTILES CAN BE PRINTED ON?
We can get a wide range of different brands, styles and colours. We also like to order Fairtrade and organic goods. Our biggest suppliers are Stanley/Stella (www.stanleystella.com) and L-Shop (www.l-shop.de). We are happy to advise you if you need any further information.
Sometimes the manufacturer may experience bottlenecks in the availability of certain textiles. We have no influence on this, but are happy to help you choose alternatives.
If you already have your own textiles in mint condition, they can be handed in for printing. Then only the printing prices and a handling fee will be charged.
CAN I FREELY CHOOSE SIZES AND COLOURS OF THE TEXTILES?
Yes! You can freely choose sizes and shirt colours within the order, as long as the print size and position of the design does not change. If a change of ink / colour is required there is an additional cost of 20€ per change.
HOW CAN I GIVE YOU MY DESIGN?
The design can be sent by mail to info@pi-screenprinting.com or uploaded to a web server. The artwork should be transferred with at least 300 Dpi in the original size it should be printed as a common file format (e.g. Jpg, Pdf, Psd, Tiff, etc.). Colour gradients are printed as halftones.
We can only start with the production when a usable artwork is available.
CAN GRAYSCALE AND PHOTOS BE PRINTED?
Grayscales can be simulated using a grid/halftone. For B/W photos, we recommend printing the motif in at least two colours. The more printing colours are used in halftone printing, the more detailed and photorealistic the print will be.
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM PRINT SIZE AND WHICH PLACEMENT CAN BE CHOSEN?
The maximum print size on t-shirts, hoodies etc. is 37×50 (W/H) cm. Standard tote bags can be printed with the dimensions 28×35 (W/H) cm. We usually place your design in the center with a distance of 5cm to the collar seam. If the design is to be placed elsewhere, let us know your wishes with exact details. Mock-ups or thumbnails are only for rough orientation. A millimetre accurate positioning is generally not possible in the screen printing process.
WHICH INKS DO YOU USE?
We only use eco friendly water-based inks, discharge inks that are certified according to the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and phthalate- and animal-free plastisol inks.
WHAT ARE YOUR PRODUCTION TIMES?
The production time is usually around 3-4 weeks (+ shipping time). Production can only start after receipt of print data, size counts and payment. Any changes in the order, especially in the artwork, will extend the delivery time. Express orders are possible if our production calendar allows it and a rush fee is added to the quote. If there is a deadline / a desired delivery date for the order, we urgently need this information to be able to plan the production process.
HOW DOES THE PAYMENT WORK?
In general, we only print after receipt of a payment confirmation. It can be paid by bank transfer or Paypal. All payment information can be found on the order confirmation. Orders on account are possible after previous arrangement.
